Required Documentation for .ru domains

Some documents are requested from the Russian Authority, necessary to identify the domain owner:

physical person - copy of the first page of the passport (where name, surname and date of birth is given);
sole proprietorship - copy of the Certificate of attribution of the VAT number and copy of the registration document to the Chamber of Commerce, the copy of the first page of the passport (where is the name, surname and date of birth);
legal entity - copy of the Certificate of attribution of the VAT number.

In some cases the authority can request other documents. It is advisable to send the documentation during the domain registration procedure because Russian Authority could check on them at anytime. Please pay attention while inserting the data; maximum precision is mandatory since any modification will require an ordinary mail request, directly to Russian Authority. Thus, account data must coincide with the data contained in the documentation.
