General info about .no Domains
- .no domain names can only contain letters A-Z (case insensitive), digits 0-9 and hyphens (-);
- Hyphens cannot be the first or last character; you cannot put 2 consecutives hiphens (--);
- .no domain must have minimum 3 and maximum 64 characters (extension excluded);
- .no domain must not include spaces;

The Brønnøysund Register number and valid documentation proving the company's presence in Norway is required.
In the case of a private entity, it is necessary to have local presence in Norway by producing appropriate documentation.

Visitors who will type the domain name will be redirected to another web space / URL. URL redirects are of two types:
- Forwarding URLs : Redirects the domain name to another web address; in the address bar the destination address will be shown;
- Alias: Makes the domain name point to a hosting plan already purchased on ormag.com; the address bar will continue to show the domain name
Maximum period of registration for .no domains
.no domains can be registered for minimum 1 year and maximum 10 years and, of course, always be renewed by the owner.

A Norwegian company may apply to register a maximum of 100 .NO domains
NS check for .no domains
It is not needed to set Nameservers before registering the domain.
Nameservers must be between 2 and 13; it's not necessary for Nameservers to reside in different
subnets. If you don't insert the Nameservers in the Profile, during the Registration Process,
the Ormag ones will be used. You will be able to change them anytime.
Local Presence for .no domains
The company holding the .NO domain must necessarily be registered with the Norwegian Business Registry.
In the case of a private entity, it is necessary to have local presence in Norway.
In the event that you do not have Norwegian residency/location, Ormag provides the Local Presence service, which can be ordered from here, at an additional cost for each .NO domain name to be registered/transferred.
This service must be renewed annually with each domain with which it is associated.

IMPORTANT: Starting on the day of expiration itself, renewals will be charged a penalty in addition to the Restore cost.
The Restore cost will be added directly during the renewal order for the expired .no domain or the proforma will be automatically modified if it was generated previously.
The domain will be suspended automatically on the day of expiration and Restore can be requested within 20 days of expiration by simply making payment.
IMPORTANT: none of our contracts is automatically or tacitly renewed. Two months before the expiration date, you will be contacted by Ormag by e-mail and will be able to decide on the renewal of the expiring services.
