Restrictions about .com.au domains
- In order to register a .com.au / .net.au domain name, the Owner must be:
(a) A company registered in Australia;
(b) party with an Australian trademark registered in Australia;
(c) an association present in Australian territory;
- The corporate registration number (ABN/CAN/NSW/VIC/SA/NT/WA/TAS/ACT/QLD) (equivalent to vat number) is required;
- In order to register a .org.au / .asn.au domain name, the Owner must be:
(a) an association present in the Australian state;
(b) a political party registered with the Australian Electoral Commission;
(c) a labor union or other organization registered under the Workplace Relations Act 1996;
(d), sports club or association present in Australia;
(f) nonprofit association operating in Australia;
- The .org.au / .asn.au domain name must:
(a) match exactly the acronym or acronym of the Registrant's name;
(b) be otherwise closely and substantially related to the Registrant.
