General info about .asia Domains
- .asia domain names can only contain letters A-Z (case insensitive), digits 0-9 and hyphens (-);
- Hyphens cannot be the first or last character; you cannot put 2 consecutives hiphens (--);
- .asia domain must have minimum 3 and maximum 64 characters (extension excluded);
- .asia domain must not include spaces;

Visitors who will type the domain name will be redirected to another web space / URL. URL redirects are of two types:
- Forwarding URLs : Redirects the domain name to another web address; in the address bar the destination address will be shown;
- Alias: Makes the domain name point to a hosting plan already purchased on ormag.com; the address bar will continue to show the domain name
Maximum period of registration for .asia domains
.asia domains can be registered for minimum 1 year and maximum 10 years and, of course, always be renewed by the owner.

NS check for .asia domains
It is not needed to set Nameservers before registering the domain.
Nameservers must be between 2 and 13; it's not necessary for Nameservers to reside in different
subnets. If you don't insert the Nameservers in the Profile, during the Registration Process,
the Ormag ones will be used. You will be able to change them anytime.
Local Presence for .asia domains
.asia domain registration needs a local contact in Asia, Australia, New Zeland or in the Pacific Region. Otherwise, Ormag.com provides free local presence service.
Restrictions for .asia domains
There are no restrictions.
.asia domain transfer
- the Authorization Code has to be requested to actual Provider (transfer code, Authcode or EPP Key);
- No paper documentation is required;
- The domain must be registered / renewed / transferred for at least 60 days;
- The domain must not be blocked by the current Registrar, otherwise request the release;
- The e-mail address of the administrative contact must be active and reachable;
- It is advisable to request the transfer of the domain at least 2 months before the expiration date.
Restore .asia domains
IMPORTANT: starting from the 40th day after expiration date, renewals will be charged with a forfeit beyond the renewal cost. The domain will be automatically suspended in the expiry day and Restore will be availble for the following 30 days.
IMPORTANT: none of our contracts is automatically or tacitly renewed. Two months before the expiration date, you will be contacted by Ormag by e-mail and will be able to decide on the renewal of the expiring services.
